MESSAGE TO OUR MEMBERS RETIRING FROM THE POST OFFICE:

First of all, congratulations on your retirement from the Post Office! You have arrived at a very important milestone in your life! You can now stop living to work and now begin working to live!

We also want to thank you for being such a loyal member of Post Office Credit Union of Maryland, Inc. and remind you that retirement from the Post Office does not affect your membership eligibility with the Credit Union. Once a member, always a member!

In order to transition smoothly into retirement, for your convenience, we've added an OPM direct deposit form online for you to update your allotments through OPM. This will allow you to continue your automatic savings, loan payments or other deposit accounts at the Credit Union.

You can fill out the form and send it to OPM or call them to update your allotments. You will need the Credit Union's routing number: 252076578 followed by your account number. Do not put any dashes in between your account number. If your account number is: 123456-016, write it down as 123456016.

Annual Meeting Announcement

The 81st Annual Meeting of the Post Office Credit Union of Maryland will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at Heritage Parkville Gardens, which is located at 7631 Harford Road, Parkville, 21234 in the Parkville Shopping Center. The doors open at 6:30 pm with the business meeting beginning promptly at 7:00 pm.

Any member interested in running for the Board of Directors, who meets the State of Maryland's qualifications, passes both background check and a credit review, and has been a member of the Credit Union for five consecutive years, please contact Lisa J. Postlethwait, President and CEO, at the Credit Union immediately for the candidate qualifications and background filing forms. The cut-off for filing these forms will be noon on Monday, January 25, 2010.

In the event that the number of board nominees submitted is the same as the number of board positions to be filled, then the election will not be conducted by ballot. Instead, the open board positions will be filled by the equal number of nominees. At no time, will nominations be accepted from the floor. The closing date for submitting nominations by petition, will be Friday, March 5, 2010.
